The EVERYONE Micro-site

The plan for the development of an Everyone Myanmar micro site started around early July under the request of Ms. Pasion but was difficult for me due to the fact that I had very little experience in this area. It was easy to just hire a web developer to handle the technical issues but most of the issues I faced were in the systematic workings of an NGO. I had to make sure the decisions I was making were the best course of action for the project and needed evidence to support my claims. Personally, this was an extremely variable experience and taught me how to work systematically and according to a specific structure, which will be unavoidable in my future careers.
The actual web development started around mid-July in cooperation of a young, extremely talented, baby faced web developer that goes by the name of Ko Win Htoo Shwe. This jolly young man was the main driving force being the creation of the website. Honestly, without him, none of this would be possible and I would not be sitting in front of my computer writing all this. I would not have gained a new talented and valuable friend that over time I have learned to treasure. We would not have been able to witness the completion of an amazing and spectacular micro site and its grand launching this coming Saturday, 18th September. From the bottom of my heart, I offer my deepest gratitude to Ko Win Htoo Shwe for it has been a pleasure to work with him and hope to continue doing so in the future. If you somehow see him, be it randomly on the street or on the micro site’s grand launching this Saturday, be sure to give him a big pat on the back and tell him what a great job he has done and thank his contribution to the Save the Children Community.
The website will be one of the main driving digital aspects of Save the Children’s Everyone Initiative and will feature many of the projects undertaken by the initiative such as the Baby Blanket initiative and the Everyone Tote Bag, as well as bios of all the hard working interns at Save the Children. The micro site will also explain ways for you, the community to become hand raisers so, be sure not to miss its grand launching and hope to see you all there.
